I have worked closely with the PA CIN Quality team, Traci Petrino and Lisa Strohm. They have taught me how to close care gaps on Navinet, Datalink, and Gateway. They have been a great help in showing us how to improve quality metrics for our practice. They are very knowledgeable and have also shown our Doctor and Nurse Practitioner how to bill these services during the patient’s visit. We appreciate all of their help and insight.
Being a member of the PA Medical Society as well as the PA Clinical Network, allows me to give a voice to independent providers in the practice of medicine. My role as a board member for the oversight committee is basically to give support and advocate for those members who do not have a ‘system’ behind them.
Its been a privilege to serve on many boards in my career, but none have been more personally or professionally satisfying than serving on the PACN Board. I have witnessed the PACN evolve and achieve success that came from hard work, struggle, and perseverance. I am extremely proud of what has been accomplished. Independent physicians should always have a place in delivery of healthcare. Many times they provide a person-al touch that is difficult to replicate in larger organizations.
The PACN is integral to practices like ours. There is no other organization working to help guide us…and help us to stay independent. The PACN Quality Team has bolstered our practice by pushing us to implement key components required for guidance toward excellent patient care.
PACN gives us the size to bargain with the large insurers to get the best reimbursement and quality incentives, which is a key to private practice success in today’s healthcare environment.
